TECA 1311 - Educating Young Children Credits: 3 An introduction to the education of young children, including developmentally appropriate practices and programs, theoretical and historical perspectives, ethics, and professional responsibilities, and current issues. The course includes a minimum of 16 contact hours of field experience with children, infancy through age 12 in varied settings with diverse populations. The course aligns with the State Board of Educators Certification Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities Standards.
