RNSG 1523 - Introduction to Professional Nursing for Integrated Programs

Introduction to the profession of nursing including the roles of the professional nurse as provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate, member of health care team, and member of the profession with emphasis on  health promotion and primary disease prvention across the lifespan; essential compenents of the nursing health assessment; identification of deviations from expected health patterns; the application of a systematic, problem-solving process to provide basic nursing care to patients across the lifespan; and applicable competencies in knowledge, judgment, skills, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework.
