BIOL 1408 - Biology I for Non-Science Majors Credits: 4 This lecture and lab course is a presentation of introductory biological concepts for the non-science major. Topics will include current issues in biology that focus on the chemistry of life, cell structure, function, and reproductive, the principles of genetics, DNA, evolution and natural selection. All topics will address the past and present work of scientists and their contributions to the science field, and the relevance of scientific problem solving to current issues and problems in modern society. THIS COURSE IS NOT INTENDED FOR SCIENCE MAJORS. Pre/Corequisite: ENRD 401 or equivalent and MATH 310/MABR 310 or equivalent Lecture Hrs. = 3 Lab Hrs.= 3
