TECA 1318 - Wellness of the Young Child Credits: 3 A study of factors that impact the well-being of the young child, including healthy behavior, food, nutrition, fitness, and safety practices that focus on local and national standards, as well as legal implications of relevant policies and regulations. The course includes a minimum of 16 contact hours of field experience with children, infancy through age 12 in varied settings with diverse populations. The course aligns with the State Board of Educators Certification Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities Standards.
