BIOL 2421 - Microbiology Credits: 4 Principles of microbiology, including metabolism, structure, function, genetics, and phylogeny of microbes. The course will also examine the interactions of microbes with each other, hosts, and the environment. Laboratory activities will reinforce these principles of microbiology, with special emphasis on bacteria. Lecture Hrs. = 3, Lab Hrs. = 3 Prerequisite: CHEM 1411 (lecture + lab) (C or better), BIOL 1406 (C or better) Biology for Science Majors I (lecture + lab), and BIOL 1407 (C or better) Biology for Science Majors II (lecture + lab). Pre/Corequisite: ENRD 401 or equivalent and MATH 100 or equivalent
